Between now and May 14th, 2007, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) features an exhibition of Jeff Wall’s photography and highlights “his major lightbox photographs and trace[s] the evolution of his principal themes and pictorial strategies.” My favorite is “After ‘Invisible Man’ by Ralph Ellison, the Prologue 1999–2000″ (pictured).
The exhibition is located in the Joan and Preston Robert Tisch Gallery on the sixth floor. If you miss the New York show, the exhibition will also be at The Art Institute of Chicago and eventually the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art before the end of the year.
If you are not familiar with Jeff Wall, you can find out more at the Jeff Wall Wikipedia page.
